MUSEO LEONARDO DA VINCI

Renovation and new setup of two halls of the museum
Museo Leonardiano Vinci - Firenze, Italy, 2021

Concept

The aim of the intervention is the renovation and new setup of two halls of the museum: the former Ticket Office and Sala degli Orologi, in order to integrate these two rooms into the exhibition path inside Palazzina Uzielli, one of the three sites of Museo Leonardiano in Vinci.

Losing its welcoming/ticketing function, the entrance hall has been stripped of all the furnishings and accessories that characterized these functions and has been transformed into a multimedia exhibition hall that introduces visitors to the museum path that begins here, dedicated to Leonardo as a scientist, technologist, and engineer.

The emotional engagement of the visitor experience extends to the Clock room “Sala degli Orologi”, a room included in the transformation program and connected to the former ticket office; if the Ticket office is the new entrance and the beginning of the museum path, the Clock room serves as its conclusion.

These two renovated rooms create a fluid space for a multisensory immersive experience that introduces and concludes the visitors’ journey at Palazzina Uzielli.
